Front Disc Brake
conversion brackets and
spacers.
This is the bracket need
to
convert your early front drums to disc brakes using affordable mid
eighties
Monte Carlo Calipers and Chevrolet truck rotors. We manufacture these
brackets by the hundreds using the latest technology. This is a
MAJOR
upgrade to any Drum Brake Land Cruiser. We run them on our trail
trucks
to slow down those big meats but works equally well on stock Cruiser's.
This conversion can be done for less than repairing the
current outdated drum setup. This is an easy upgrade, that you
CAN do. After collecting parts, conversion takes no more than a few
hours to complete. This bracket is ready to bolt on,
no tapping, no cutting, no welding. Brackets are CNC laser cut for sure
fit. Brackets are professionally using state of the art equipment for strength and accuracy. We have
sold literally 1000's of these brackets
with outstanding results.
These brackets fit 1975 down drum brake Land Cruisers.
And yes, it will fit FJ45's as well (we put this kit on a 77 FJ45 LWB)
In addition to the brackets, you will need
to get the following (instruction are more detailed):
| 2 |
GM Truck Rotors (milled) |
| 2 |
80's Monte Carlo Calipers (loaded) |
| 2 |
Conversion Brake Hoses |
| 16 |
Backing Plate Nuts and Lock Washers (Metric 8) |
NOTE: You will have to do some grinding
on the calipers and your stock wheel hub
This kit is so much easier than any other. It will not require the
time and machine a mini-truck conversion does, it will cost less than
an axle swap. It will allow you to have the same rotors and pads as
most common rear disc conversions so you will easily cut down on spares
and guess work.
