Great antenna for your FJ40. This is a collapsible shaft with a two peice mount, one at the bottom and one at the top of the first section. Works great as a passenger side mount just forward of the doors. Most FJ40's did NOT have a radio antenna installed at the factory, rather they were dealer installed. This appears to be identical to the one most dealers used.
